Most campsites in Switzerland close in autumn and take a break for the winter. But there is good news for all adventurous campers who are not put off by cooler temperatures and snow! Even during the winter months, it is still possible to enjoy relaxing camping days.
TCS Camping – Camping fun all year round
If you are not yet ready to put your camping vehicle into winter storage at the end of October and would like to extend the camping season a little longer, you can do so at TCS campsites in Switzerland. Six of our TCS campsites look forward to welcoming you during the winter months.
It doesn't necessarily have to be at a campsite in the depths of winter. You can also enjoy relaxing breaks during the winter months at TCS Camping Lugano-Muzzano, Sion or Solothurn. Escape everyday life, experience the tranquillity of nature, go on relaxing winter walks or stroll leisurely through the towns.
Please note the respective opening dates of the campsites, which are not identical for all campsites. Not all of them are open 365 days a year. Some of the TCS winter campsites take a few weeks' winter break.
Do not go unprepared for winter camping in the mountains
It is very important to prepare well for the adventure of winter camping and to address the most important questions before departure:
- Do you have a working heating system?
- Is your camper or caravan well insulated?
- Do you have enough gas?
- Are you familiar with driving a camper or caravan on icy or snowy roads?
If you are well prepared for your new adventure, winter camping in Switzerland is an enriching experience and a real adventure.
