Correct behaviour – tips from campers for campers
Parking spaces are in high demand. Many campers who value independent and spontaneous travel head for a parking space as an alternative to campsites. Parking spaces are particularly busy during peak travel periods such as Easter, Whitsun and the summer holidays. Campers line up one after the other, and as soon as a space becomes available, the next camper rolls in.
As in any place where many people live in close proximity, mutual consideration is important on parking spaces. Ultimately, everyone should be able to enjoy their journey in a relaxed manner.
General information
- The following rules apply: mutual consideration, respectful and friendly behaviour on the motorhome parking space.
- Parking spaces are intended for short stays (1–3 nights).
- A parking space is not a campsite (parking space versus campsite)
- Camping behaviour (extending awnings, setting up camping furniture, barbecuing, etc.) is not permitted.
- Parking spaces are intended for camping vehicles with their own camping toilets. Never relieve yourself in the natural surroundings around the parking space.
- Be considerate of other campers, residents and the operators of the parking spaces: be careful, avoid unnecessary noise and do not leave any rubbish lying around. Leave the site clean and take your rubbish with you
- Caravans are also permitted in parking spaces where indicated
Interpersonal behaviour
- Mutual consideration and respectful interaction
- Campers help each other
- Campers are friendly and greet each other
Arrival / Parking
- Keep your distance from your neighbours; everyone should be able to open their windows and service doors at any time.
- Park in the direction of traffic, never across it.
- Run any power cables along the edge of the space.
- Place engines for power generation in noise-protected locations
- If you arrive in the middle of the night: stop in front of the site and explore on foot. Then drive quickly onto the plot and refrain from further manoeuvres. Carry out detailed work the next day.
Behaviour on site
- Because it's the right thing to do: pay your fees correctly (and don't try to sneak away in the dead of night).
- For free places, a voluntary contribution may also be made.
- At free sites, the services provided by local providers, such as restaurants, farm shops, etc., should be taken into account.
- Reserving seats (when leaving and returning later or for colleagues arriving later) is not appropriate.
- Repeated door closing, especially on buses with non-electric sliding doors, should be avoided, particularly at night.
- Do not pour pasta and potato water or other liquids such as tea or coffee into the environment; dispose of grey water at the designated locations.
- Camping toilets must be emptied correctly and only at the designated disposal stations.
- Keep noise levels as low as possible; do not engage in loud discussions or listen to loud music in the evening or late at night.
Dogs on the pitch
- Keep dogs on a leash, including at the parking space
- Collect the dog's waste on and around the parking space.
Departure
- The pitch will be left cleaner than it was found.
- If you are leaving in the middle of the night or very early in the morning, pack everything the night before so that you can leave the pitch as quietly as possible when you depart.
